Paid Survey Site: HCD Surveys

I've been a member of HCD Surveys for a few months now. Overall, I like it, but I don't receive as many survey invitations from them as I do from other companies. However, the surveys I do receive are very interesting and not at all tedious to complete.

Each survey invitation contains the amount of points the survey is worth and how long it will take to complete.

In order to request a payment, you must have a minimum of 1,000 points. Each 100 points is worth $1, so 1,000 points = $10 minimum cash out.

Paid Survey Site: Global Test Market

I've been a member of Global Test Market for about six months now. I don't have any complaints, and overall, I really like it.

With Global Test Market, it seems like I either receive several invitations at once or none at all. However, I typically qualify for the surveys I receive and don't feel like I waste a lot of my time being disqualified.

Before beginning a survey, you'll be able to see how many points it's worth in your email invitation. It usually gives a range, such as 5-40 points. (The amount of points awarded is determined by how far you make it in a survey, if you qualify.) Each email invitation also contains information on the length and urgency of the survey.

Global Test Market compensates you in MarketPoints, which can be redeemed for cash. In order to request a payment, you must have a minimum of 1,000 points. Each MarketPoint is equivalent to $.05 USD, so that's a minimum of $50 when you cash out.

Helpful hint: After you sign up, be sure to log into your account to complete your profile surveys (there are 10) to receive more survey opportunities and to be better-matched to available surveys.

Paid Survey Site: Survey Savvy

I joined Survey Savvy a few months ago, and overall, I really like it. They don't send me many survey invitations, but I qualify for the majority of the ones I do receive.

Survey Savvy pays pretty well compared to other sites. I've only completed 3 surveys for them, but I've earned $15. Even if you don't qualify for a particular survey, you'll still receive an entry for their monthly drawing for one of 50 $10 prizes.

Unlike other survey sites, there's no minimum amount you need to request a pay-out. I've never had a problem receiving my payment from Survey Savvy. After requesting my payment, I received it within three weeks - really fast.

You can also earn more by referring friends. When someone you refer completes a survey, you'll also receive a reward. You'll also earn rewards when your referrals of friends

Paid Survey Site: Ipsos i-Say

Today I'm going to be reviewing Ipsos i-Say. I've been a member of this survey site for about a month now, and I really like it. Here's why: 

Ipsos i-Say doesn't overload me with survey invitations (I only receive 2-3 a week), and I typically qualify for the ones they send. The surveys I've taken from them are fun, interesting, and relevant. In addition to surveys, you may also qualify to test products. I currently have a product coming for me to test, and I'm pretty excited about it! 

Instead of cash, you earn points that can be used toward gift cards or merchandise from particular retailers. You don't know how many points a survey is worth until you click the link in your invitation, but you find out almost immediately after that. 

One of my favorite things about Ipsos i-Say is that at the end of each survey, you get to play Poll Predictor, where you guess what percentage of Americans answered a question a certain way. You are then awarded "chances" based on how close you got to the correct answer, and you put those chances into a drawing for a prize. Pretty cool!

Paid Survey Site: Harris Poll Online

The next survey site I'm going to review in my weekly series is Harris Poll Online. I signed up with Harris Poll at the beginning of March, and I'm pretty happy with it overall. 

The number of survey invitations I receive from Harris Poll fluctuates week to week. Some weeks I may get 10 invitations, while other weeks I may not get any. However, I do qualify for the majority of invitations that are sent to me, which is nice. I think the pay you receive for taking survey is just ok, but it's harder to gage since it's points. One thing I don't like is that you don't know how many points a survey is worth until you're already taking it. 

With Harris Poll, you are paid in points, which you redeem for a prize of your choice. Prizes start at 800 points, and you can enter sweepstakes for only 200 points. To give you an idea of how quickly you earn points, I've earned 710 since March.

Paid Survey Site: Valued Opinions

Valued Opinions is one of the first survey sites I signed up for back in March. Even though I haven't earned a lot through this survey site, I really like it. 

I don't receive that many survey invitations through Valued Opinions, but I typically qualify for the ones I do receive. (A couple of weeks ago, I even got to test out a new product!) I've found Valued Opinions' pay for the survey I take to be very reasonable. You can receive up to $5 for surveys and up to $50 for specialist surveys (like product tests). Each invitation you receive has the survey length and amount you'll receive, so you can decide if it's one you're interested in. 

Instead of paying out in cash, you earn dollars toward a gift card with Valued Opinions, and you can request your gift card once you reach $20. Some gift card options include Amazon.com, Visa, Macy's, Marriott, Blockbuster, and several others. 

Overall, I'm happy with Valued Opinions and would recommend it. However, I will let you know that in the two months I've been a member, I've only earned $14 toward my gift card. You'll be able to cash out faster with other sites, but I do like this one.

Paid Survey Site: Opinion Outpost

The first paid survey site I'm going to review/discuss is Opinion Outpost. I haven't been a member of this site long, but it's one of my favorites.

To start with, Opinion Outpost is FREE to join (as all legit survey sites should be). I receive several emails from them every week, and I typically qualify for at least half to two-thirds of them. I think the pay I've received for the surveys I've taken has been quite fair.

Unlike other survey sites that will prescreen you for 10 minutes, Opinion Outpost only asks a few questions to determine if you're eligible for a particular survey. (I really, really appreciate this about them!)

You can cash out and request a check once you reach $5. I've only been a member for a few weeks now, but I've already earned enough to cash out once. The site says that processing and delivery takes 4-8 weeks. However, two days after requesting my check, my account is showing that is has already been mailed!

Another thing I like about Opinion Outpost is that if you don't qualify for a survey, you still have the opportunity to play an instant win game where you can win $50.

This week: Reviews of paid survey sites!

 Each day this week, I'm going to highlight a different survey company and give you my honest opinion on it. I'm excited about sharing my survey taking experiences with you. A couple of months ago, I started joining paid survey sites online. It's turned out to be a lot fun, and it's a great way to make a little extra money!

Some things you should know up front about paid survey sites: 

• All legitimate paid survey sites are FREE to join 
• It's probably a good idea to set up a separate email account where your survey invitations can be sent (I use gmail - it's FREE and awesome). This prevents your regular inbox from being flooded with survey invites, and it keeps your survey invites from being lost in the shuffle. 
• You WILL earn money, but this should definitely NOT rely on this as your primary source of income.
• If it seems too good to be true, it most likely is.
